Midnight Black is a rich, inky black silk charmeuse with a floaty drape.

While much of Flora Prisma’s collection is created using botanical dye, true black is one of the most complex colors to achieve naturally, and some methods can be damaging to delicate silk fibers. For Midnight Black, we sourced a beautiful, conventionally dyed charmeuse from South Korea. The result is a deeply saturated black with a smooth, even finish.

This reflects a broader approach within Flora Prisma: selecting the right process for each material and color, rather than applying a single method across the entire collection.

You can find Midnight Black in both dresses in our first collection. Silk charmeuse is a unique fabric, with one matte side and one lustrous side, each offering a distinct expression of the same material. The Sonoma Shift features the fluid sheen of the lustrous side, while the Marin Dress uses the quiet, refined matte side.
